Good morning June and Clive, We arrived safely in Bulawayo. The customs procedure was easy. The border crossing took us a bit more than an hour. Botswana is already history but will not be forgotten. The last three days there were a real highlight in every respect! As promised we send you the picture we took just before leaving and hope you like it as much as we do. Thank you so much for making our stay at Modumela Lodge a special one. We will treasure it! Kindest regards, Emil & Liliana 30.5 years - 708'000 km - 181 countries with the same car. We have had the pleasure of staying at Modumela Lodge for three nights. From the directions to the lodge, emailed to us by the management couple, to the fantastic reception received from all the staff, to the cleaning staff - absolutely fantastic. I will definitely return to Modumela. Well done.
Our first trip to Botswana. We were amazed at the observance of the law, no littering, obeying road regulations and general respect. Our visit to Modumela was stunning. The staff and facilities are superb and friendliness and helpfulness is especially noted. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.
Did not use the kiosk and bar but having had a chance of just browsing around, it appeared to be an exceptional facility. The barman always expressed his friendliness, helpfulness and would always get out of his way to inform us more about the entire facility. Highly impressed. The kitchen staff were always at their best also in terms of friendliness and exposing their cooking and serving skills!!!! BRAVO!!!! We were also impressed by the Managers of the facility. The manner in which they expressed their kindness and patience when we called on our way to the lodge from Gaberone until we arrived late in the evening. The manner in which they received and welcomed us was just a cherry on the cake!! Thank you very much for your unconditional courtesy and kindness.
